Three breeding tools in one calculator

This free Palworld breeding calculator helps players plan ranch breeding without uploading a save file. Use Breed Two Pals to calculate offspring from any parent pair, open the Parent Finder to reverse-lookup every supported parent combination for a target Pal, or run Shortest Breeding Path to estimate the fewest generations from a starting species to your goal. The same page also lists popular breeding combos and a full breeding guide with FAQ coverage for Anubis, gender rules, and data version questions.

  • Breeding combinations: forward lookup for child species and variants
  • Parent calculator: reverse lookup when you know the target Pal
  • Shortest path: minimum-generation linear breeding chains
  • Versioned data: 299 Pals and 44,851 normalized rules (v26)

Breeding guide

How Palworld breeding works

In Palworld, breeding combines two Pals to produce an egg that hatches into a new Pal. Each Pal has hidden breeding power and compatibility values that determine possible outcomes.

Different parent combinations can produce the same Pal, but with different chances and passive skills. Use this calculator to find the best combinations and the shortest path to get the Pal you want.

Breed two Pals (forward calculator)

The Breed Two Pals tool answers: “What will these parents produce?” Select any two species or variants and the result appears after the local dataset loads. Parent order does not matter for species identity, but a small number of recipes carry gender requirements. When a rule needs opposite or fixed genders, that constraint appears beside the result.

Parent Finder (reverse breeding combinations)

Parent Finder works in reverse. Choose the Pal you want—Anubis, Lyleen, Shadowbeak, Jetragon, or any other supported entry—and the calculator lists valid parent combinations from the current dataset.

Shortest breeding path planner

Shortest Breeding Path returns a minimum-generation linear path to the target. “Shortest” means generation count, not egg timers, capture difficulty, travel time, or passive-skill odds.

Data coverage and honesty bounds

Results use a pinned, versioned breeding table (database v26). The current release covers 299 Pals and 44,851 normalized rules for Palworld 1.0. This free calculator does not predict egg gender probability or passive inheritance rates.

Common questions

Palworld breeding FAQ

How do I breed Anubis in Palworld?

Open Parent Finder on this Palworld breeding calculator, select Anubis, and review every valid parent pair in the current dataset. There is rarely a single “best” recipe—the right pair depends on which parents you already own and which passive skills you want to keep. Compare several combinations, then use Breed Two Pals to confirm the offspring before you commit ranch time.

What does shortest breeding path mean?

Shortest path means the fewest sequential breeding generations from a starting Pal species to a target species. At each generation the current offspring breeds with a partner the tool shows. “Shortest” is generation count only—it does not optimize egg timers, travel, capture difficulty, or passive-skill odds. Use it when you already own a common starter and want a minimum-step plan toward a rarer target.

What are Palworld breeding combinations?

A breeding combination is any two parent species (or variants) that produce a specific child under the game’s rules. Many children can be reached from dozens of parent pairs. This calculator lists combinations from a full rule table rather than a single guessed formula, so special and variant recipes stay visible alongside ordinary breeding-power outcomes.

How does the parent finder work?

Parent Finder is reverse lookup: pick the child you want, and the tool returns supported parent pairs. It answers “how do I breed X?” without guessing. Scan the list for pals already in your Palbox, then switch to Breed Two Pals to double-check the forward result for the pair you chose.

Are parent genders important?

Most Palworld breeding combinations accept any genders. Some rules require opposite genders or fixed male/female roles. When a constraint exists, the calculator shows it beside the result. We do not estimate egg gender odds or passive inheritance probabilities—only species-level outcomes and stated gender constraints.

Why can one parent pair show special rules?

Palworld mixes ordinary breeding-power outcomes with hand-authored special combinations and variant recipes. A simplified average-power formula can miss those exceptions. This site reads a fully materialized breeding table so special pairs remain first-class results instead of disappearing into a generic formula.

Is the calculator updated for the latest Pals?

This release uses database v26 with 299 species and variants and 44,851 normalized rules labeled for Palworld 1.0. Trust the version badges on the page rather than vague “always latest” claims. When the dataset is regenerated, those badges and the guide text update together.

Does this tool change my game or save file?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser from static data. You do not sign in, upload a save, connect a game account, or install a mod. It is a planning tool only—your ranch, eggs, and pals stay untouched.

What is the best way to plan a multi-step breeding chain?

Start with Shortest Breeding Path if you only care about minimum generations from one owned species. If you care about intermediate parents you already have, use Parent Finder on the final target, shortlist realistic pairs, then verify each hop with Breed Two Pals. Popular breeding combos below the tools are quick-start examples you can load in one click.
